Options

Video

There are a number of video options. Some are designed to allow lower end computers to run the game a little faster.
Detail: This specifies which detail of the character models to use.
  • High - The character models are always high detail
  • Medium - Your character models is high detail, while the others are low detail
  • Low - The character models are always low detail
Resolution: This specifies the amount of size of the window or pixel size for fullscreen. Note: This only takes effect for the game and remains always at 800x600 in the menus.
  • 640x480 - A small window, things may not fit the screen correctly.
  • 800x600 - The default and recommended size.
  • 1024x768 - A large window, things may be spaced much father apart.
Fullscreen: This specifies if the program should run in a window or in fullscreen mode.
Changing this option effects the mode immediately.
Particles: This specifies if particles should be shown or not.
Interpolation: This specifies if the character models should be interpolated.
It is recommended that this is always on, but if you get under 30fps you might want to turn this off.
Mip-Mapping: This specifies if the textures in the world will use mip-mapping.
It is recommended that this is on because it will make the graphics look better. However, mip-mapping does use about 10MB of memory so turning it off will save some RAM and VRAM.

Audio

The two audio options control the volumes.
Music Volume: The volume the background music should play at. 0-100%
Effects Volume: The volume of the sound effects. 0-100%

Networking

This is the only place where you can set the port to use.
Port: The port to use when you host a round, and also the port used when you try to connect to a hosted round.

Controls

The last options lets you bind the actions to different keys.
To use just left click the box and then press the key, or use the mouse to bind it to the action.
You can also bind keys to a joystick or game pad, but make sure it has been plugged in before you start the game
Note Be careful not to move the mouse before you press the desired key because moving the mouse is a bindable action.
For information about what the keys can do see
controls page.
