1) Absolutely positively the best console First Person Shooter to date.

2) Wonderful music score that really puts you in the mood to play.

3) Some really cool weapons.

4) A very robust array of features. Aside from the main missions, there are also the challenges, the arenas... I spent so much time just playing my own custom death matches against the stimulants.

5) Humorous dying sounds.

6) The Carrington Institute is a great place for the player to learn the basic controls of the game. Instead of being instructed on the controls via some tutorial, it's much more interactive and immersive.

7) The Hover Bike is really cool.

8) The game play controls are very well refined.

9) The guards are fairly easy to kill, which leads to a high amount of gratification. However, this does not make the game too easy because the challenge comes when there are many guards to deal with.

10) Fast Saving and Loading times. Cartridges do have their advantages, after all.

11) The different mission objectives are a nice change from the usual shoot anything that moves style Shooter.

12) The radar is great for the combat simulation levels, it lets you know where your targets are, and also adds some strategy to the game play.

13) The cheats, different stars, and combat challenges give the player a wide array of goals and accomplishments.

14) seeing the world move around you and shooting all of the targets are the two main things that give the player a steady stream of simple pleasures, making this game very fun and addictive. It's also what makes all first person shooters addictive.

Note: Most of the negative comments are very knit picky. Overall this game was a very enjoyable experience, and one of the best game's that I've had the privilege of enjoying in awhile.

1) Sometimes it seemed a little unclear how to achieve the next mission objective (i.e. I needed to get the President to the escape capsule, but I didn't know how to get to it, and got a little lost). There were a few times when I had to look up what to do in a walkthrough, which no game should ever force a player to do.

2) A map would be good. With little beacons showing where the objectives are.

3) I wish I could kill the bots more easily than with remote mines, or at least let me do that without having a bunch of guards attacking at the same time.

4) The radar should be used to see enemies on the regular mission levels. I hate it when I'm getting shot at and don't know where it's coming from.

5) On the open area snow level sometimes the sloping hills point the gun down making it difficult to aim for your targets.

6) Frame rate is really bad in some areas.

7) On level easy (Agent) it would be nice to have the game reload to your last completed mission objective, instead of having to start the level all over again. When the player looses they have to go back too far. However, this wouldn't be such a big deal if it were on level normal or difficult.

8) The N64 controller traps in heat, which warms up my hands and makes the controller sweaty.

9) The bright lights sometimes made it difficult to see the enemies.

10) I read somewhere that the blurring effect that happens when you sustain a physical attack is supposed to encourage the player to be perfect. On the contrary, I think it aggravates and frustrates the player, especially when you've spent quite a few minutes getting to the point you're at, then all of a sudden everything gets blurry.

11) After the player dies, the screen fades to red, the you die music plays, and after a few seconds the press start to continue text appears. In Unreal Tournament, however, dying and respawning happen in a seamless, continuous natural flow. Unreal Tournament does a much better job of keeping the game going.
