-The heavier emphasis on action-oriented game play makes this game more of a survival-horror thrill ride. The music and mood of the game reflect this. I like it.
-The get-points-to-buy-new-weapons system improves the gratification curve immensely. It sets objectives for the player, and once the player reaches those objectives they have a new weapon that they can use as a more useful tool for killing dinosaurs.
-The motion captures for the cut scenes do an excellent job of eliminating the unnatural movement problem in previous Resident Evil style games.
-Each character not only has a unique personality, but the weapons they used were also different, which makes playing each character a different experience, and it is a very great way to diversify the characters.
-there were many times in the game where I found myself with two dinosaurs ready to attack me from both sides, and I had no way to avoid it getting hit. In an action game it should be possible to get through the game perfectly, especially when you can get bonuses for making it through an area without getting hit. It was definitely the most frustrating part of the game.
-The weapons were well balanced. For example, one of the most powerful weapons in the game was the Cannon. Although it was powerful, it had a very short range.
-The end boss was kind of scary, but mostly annoying. You just run for the computer terminal and take a bunch of hits from the tyrannosaur, with no way to avoid being hit.
-The rocket launcher could not be shot up or down and couldn't really be used to kill any of the dinosaurs, rendering it useless, although all the other weapons didn't have this problem. They were all useful.
-The camera angles added a cinematic feel, although they often took away from the game play. I can't remember how many times a dinosaur attacked me from off the screen and I couldn't do anything about it because of the camera angle. The camera angles should be set up in such a way that the player can always see everything they need to see while still retaining the cinematic feel.
-The bonus games were kind of fun, and added a little bit to the replay value, but they were nothing extraordinary. I only played them once or twice.
-I played through this game twice and mostly enjoyed it both times I went through. I like the kill/get-points game play because it makes the game very addictive.
