Loveable chimps and lots of walking.

1) The game has a huge amount of variety of game play. You maneuver through an obstacle course, each banana you collect has its own fun puzzle to solve for getting it, tons of minigames, the list goes on and on.

2) Whenever you appear in a new area there are several things to collect in each. The player always has several objectives to complete and lots of time to complete them.

3) The player can control five different kongs, each with their own abilities and unique personality.

4) Uniquely different bosses, each with their own unique personalities, and uniquely fun ways to beat them.

5) The camera sets itself in the right place some of the time.

6) Running through an obstacle course, and figuring out how to go through that course as you venture through it, employs a seamless combination of action and strategy.

7) Each world has it's own unique theme: mayan, jungle, galleon, castle keep, etc. Each theme presents a new type of environment for the player to explore and experience.

8) Nice use of environmental effects (falling leaves, swimming fishes, etc.)

9) The granny help system can give you tips on where to find the bananas.

10) The banana warp pads can help you get from place to place faster. They can also make it so that you don't have to go through the same part of the level twice.

11) This game looks so cool when you see it from across the room.

12) Seeing melons and grabbin' 'em adds more player gratfication, and adds to the fun factor.

13) It comes with an expansion pak! That is definately, without a doubt, the biggest selling point for this game.

1) Text instead of voice acting

2) It's a little too fun and happy for adults to handle. The appeal to an adult audience isn't there so much because it's happy cutesy wootsy.

3) With the heavily complex areas, this game is in dire need of a world map. I got lost so many times, and it wasn't fun when I did.

4) The story's pretty lame and way too child-oriented.

5) The player spends way too much time walking in this game. The areas are far too big, mapless, and take a very long time to traverse. The warp pads help a little, but without a map sometimes I get confused as to where the warp pad warps me to.

6) More often than not, the camera does not set itself in the ideal position, but rather a counter productive position that is very annoying.

7) The camera angles get so bad sometimes that it is very difficult to see where I'm supposed to maneuver, or which direction I should push the control stick. A lot of times I think to myself, "I hope Whoever Kong's pointed in the right direction."

8) This game is severly lacking in the sound department. The music is very boring, monotanous at times, and doesn't make me feel like I'm having fun at all. Super Mario 64, however, did. The SuperNES Donkey Kongs also had cool soundtracks. The lack of jammin' music takes so much away from the fun factor that I just can't put it into words.

9) The death/life transition is a little slow.
