Enormous Length. If you are looking for something to do in your free time, this game will give you tons of bang for your buck. There is so much to do in a vast land to explore with tons of abilities to aquire.

Lots of different ways to interact with your environment. With people you can persuade, talk, fight, sneak, steel, cast spells, and so on. Just about every object can be taken and used in some way.

Very open-ended. There are many quests to complete, places to go, and environments to explore. You can also choose from a variety of different classes, join several different guilds...

The environment holds many different and intriguing things such as giant mushroom trees, marsh lands, huge rolling hills and mountains, ash lands, gigantic environments, grassy areas, and much much more.

Kind of repeditive. You spend a great deal of your time wandering around terrain, fighting the same old enemies you've always been fighting, reading dull-looking text, and just doing tasks that can get monotanous if you don't have that much patients. The game also has a persona about it that is very boring and not all that interesting (a counter example would be Grand Theft Auto III, which had a very wacky quirky comical style that was very enjoyable). You have to have a lot of free-time on your hands to play and enjoy this game.

Complicated and boring interface. The menus are flat, dull, and mostly just bombard you with flat uninsteresting-looking text. You really have to use your imagination to make the interface a fun experience. The interface is also very non-intuitive, and takes awhile to get used to and figure out. Also sometimes the text is small and unless you have a $13,000 Plasma screen, it can be difficult to read.

Boring sound track. The music in the background is very quiet and stays constant throughout the entire game. It is a snoozefest.

Very blocky people. With the power of the Xbox, the graphics could look a little bit better, especially when it comes to the people. Whether looking from first or third person perspective, there is no feature of yourself that looks paricularly interesting. Halo has some weapons that look cool when animated, and Spiderman moved around in a cool way that could be seen from many different angles, but in this game you are mostly stiff. The camera movements are also stiff.

Almost no voice acting. After Final Fantasy X (which was released over eight months ago), any kind of text-for-speach technique has always seemed way behind the times. Expecially with this text, which does not animate, move, or do anything interesting. It's just flat, dull, generic, and there's tons of it for you to plow through. It reminds me of text adventure games from the dark ages of 086.

When you improve your skills the game does a very bad job of letting you know that you are progressing. It does not reward you with any pleasing sounds, you-gained-ability-points animations, or anything. It just shows a flat boring text box.
