1) There are lots of enemies to fight. Fighting enemies, gaining experience and gold, and collecting items are the major gratifications in this game (as wells as most console RPGs).

2) The story gives depth to the environment. If you were to go into a cave and fight a boss monster, it adds more depth to what you're doing if you know that the monster has captured the elder's daughter and has poisoned the town's water source.

3) The pacing is pretty good. It never becomes too difficult or too easy.

4) There is a wide variety of different areas to explore.

5) Not seeing your enemies when you first encounter them in a surprise attack, and vice versa, is an interesting technique. It makes the enemy fighting more immersive. Actually, the whole Dragon Warrior turn-based fighting perspective is more immersive, especially in this game.

6) The part where all the sleepers gather together and form one Big Boss Sleeper is really cool.

1) Unprofessional-looking graphics.

2) This game seems to be a basic run of the mill RPG. There's nothing drastically better about it that can rival the competition.

3) The abbreviations for the different items can become confusing at times. When I got an item called Minibl it took me awhile before I realized it was a Mini-bottle.

4) The battle menu interface is new, but moreso confusing. It probably would have been better if they had stuck with the standard menu select way of dealing commands. That way it would be less confusing for RPG players, which are probably going to comprise most of the people playing this game.

5) The sound for level up is too generic. In fact, there are too many generic sounds in this game - both for parsing through menus and otherwise.

6) The graphics and animations are too bland. They should be more dazzling, and more gratifying to watch.

7) This game is too heavily weighted on the strategic side. There should be more action oriented game play.

8) The randomly running into monsters and fading to a battle screen is a very unnatural thing. This is a problem existant in all turn-based console RPGs (minus Chrono Trigger).

9) For indicating if the player is frozen, instead of having the letters FZ next to the characters HP, it would be better if the character's status box itself had some ice around it. If the character is confused, it might make more sense to have the box wiggle around. This way it would make having a status effects more visually appealling.
