Lively level progression. As you play, things unfold around you. Your team members communicate with you, events happen during play... This is definately the biggest plus.
There is a mission with a story. Renegades called Red Faction hunting down the abominable dictator.
Aside from the usual fighting enemies with guns, you also do the rail shooter from the flying ship. Nice variety.
Automatic mid-game saving. The game saves automatically at certain checkpoints along the way. Saving is often a part of the game that has to be done manually by the player, and when he does so it reminds him that he is playing a game and not in another place. But with the auto saving it overcomes this problem.

Almost all enemies are the same. The guns do not vary much beyond one being more powerful than the other. In some other action games, certain weapons are more effective against certain enemies, and the weapons vary much more greatly. In this game it's like taking out genetric enemies with generic weapons.
Graphics a little too blocky.
The personalities of the characters and the story behind the game are seem very contrived and cliched. It is very similar to Brute Force in this respect.
