The first RTS game to focus heavily on story elements. The heroes innovation adds a lot of innovative value to the game. It is fresh and new. This RTS game has more story elements than any other RTS I've played, and I love story in games so good job!
The heroes addition also adds more special spells that can be effectively used in battle, and adding another element to the strategy of the game play.
The captivating art style of all the *Craft games. It is pleasing to the eye.
Plenty of different kinds of units and upgrades to balance out the game play and add depth to the strategy.
The Upkeep feature is a nice way to keep players focused on playing the game instead of just amassing a huge giant force and then decimating everything on the map.
The pre-rendered motion videos are of a very high quality, very top-notch.
All of the units have their own unique personalities which makes the game all that more interesting, and gives the environment more depth.
A whole bunch of new races to master.
The tasks that you have to complete on each mission are very closely correlated with the storyline.

The Upkeep feature can get really annoying when you want to amass a large force to decimate everything on the map for the fun of it.
Graphics are kind of behind the times (Real-time graphics that is).
