About Hexcentric was a two semester junior game project for DigiPen Institute of Technology. During the summer while taking classes, I removed much of the old game engine and wrote it myself. This new version of the game was far more stable, ran nearly a hundred percent faster, looked much nicer, and worked a lot better. It was dubbed S.P.H.E.R.E. Ver 2.0. Basic Rules: In S.P.H.E.R.E., the player takes control of a spherical combatant, trapped in a set of mazes. Other spheres inhabit the mazes, and the player must fight them to the death. Littered in the mazes are a multitude of weapons that the spheres can use to slaughter each other. Also to be found in the mazes are placeable traps which spheres can use to kill each other with ought ever having to fire a shot. The maze walls take damage when attacked, and will collapse if enough damage is done. Over time, destroyed wall segments will reappear. |
