Open to:
1. INT. ATTIC - NIGHT - RAIN/LIGHTNING - EST
The attic is completely dark. A few boxes and different items litter the ground.

A wooden chest and a few items litter the attic. All is dark.

SFX: Attic door creaking.

A rectangle of light floods into the dark illuminating the items.

2. INT. BELOW ATTIC DOOR
ECU as Jared finishes lifting up the attic door. His eyes dart around nervously as he looks from right to left.

3. INT. ATTIC
Camera pans up slowly. Some shadows look like they might be monsters.

MS as Jared stands up slowly and stiffly. He stands there frozen eyes searching and breathing hard.

SFX: Loud creak from behind Jared.

Jared's eyes widen and slowly his eyes turn to where the sound was. He turns around quickly.

CU low angle of shadow looms in the darkness. Lightning flashes.

SFX: Delayed from flash 3 seconds. Thunderclap.

MS in bear's mouth. Jared has his hands raised in fear.

MS as Jared takes a few steps back his arms raise as he tries to keep a distance from the bear. After a few steps he starts to fall.

CU of some boxes and assorted items can be seen. Jared falls and hits the ground.

OTS as Jared pulls on his leg not able to free himself of the hose.

MS as Jared stands up and grabs his leg attempting to pull free again.

ECU of eyes searching, Jared tries to find a way out of the situation. Something catches his eye. His expression changes to be more determined.

CU of chain shimmering from the light of the window. A shadow of a light bulb can be seen. Lightning flashes and backlights the chain and light. The window fills with light when the lighting flashes.

SFX: 4-second delay. Thunderclap.

MS low angle of Jared stretching in an attempt to reach the chain. Which is just out of reach.

MS as Jared stops reaching for the chain and looks back down at the hose briefly. He crouches in anticipation and looks back at the chain.

MS high angle of Jared throwing his weight forward and pulling the hose which now slides forward just enough for him to pull the chain.

CU of Jared pulling the chain.

LS as Jared is stretched between holding the chain and the hose wrapped around his leg. Jared freezes looking around now at the lit attic.

MS as Jared slowly pulls his leg from the hose and looks around. He then smiles and sits against a box.
